Change in the corporate newsroom

How Welthungerhilfe is transforming its communication

The Welthungerhilfe newsroom

Webinar from May 28

Food security, climate crisis, humanitarian aid and global justice - these are the core issues of Welthungerhilfe, one of Germany's largest aid organizations, which has carried out more than 11,000 projects in more than 70 countries since it was founded in 1962.

In this webinar, Mirko Lange, founder of Scompler, and Christoph Moss, Managing Director of Mediamoss, together with Ruth Wennemar and Ulrich Schlenker from Welthungerhilfe, will show how Moss' newsroom model and the Content Command Center from Scompler are transforming communications at the global aid organization.

The four speakers will highlight specific challenges such as channel complexity, siloing and team workload and show how the Content Command Center helps to effectively overcome these problems.

Participants gain insights into the advantages of topic-centricity over channel orientation and learn how a consistent and effective communication strategy is supported by clear structures and defined processes, but above all by a new mindset.

Nowadays, the complexity of communication can no longer be tackled without specialized technology. "The trick is to map both a methodology and the strategy in the tool - and then to implement it in day-to-day work. This is exactly what Scompler stands for - we call it Stratecution," explains Mirko Lange.

Ruth Wennemar and Ulrich Schlenker, CvDs at Welthungerhilfe, report in the webinar on their communications work before and after the implementation of the newsroom. "Before we thought in terms of newsroom processes and worked with Scompler , duplication of work due to a lack of transparency and a strong channel orientation slowed us down," says Wennemar.
