A new content control center for Düsseldorf Airport

A "virtual newsroom" with Scompler

Like many other companies, Corporate Communications at Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) has an enormous number of issues to deal with. And like many other companies, the team worked through all of these topics over the years, often driven by campaigns. In mid-2017, however, it became clear to everyone: "We need to adapt our communication to the rapidly changing requirements of the market!" So the department set out to network the individual communication disciplines more closely, introduce topic management and further optimize the communication processes. The goal: to better meet the changing needs for new formats, new channels and individual, authentic content and to increase the efficiency of communication. The new strategy, processes and structures have now been operational since this year. This was also made possible by the content operations platform Scompler.

Mirko Lange

Founder Scompler

Mirko Lange has been a communications consultant for 27 years and a lecturer at several universities since 2001. In 1999, he founded one of the first consulting firms for online PR in Germany and made a name for himself as the first specialist for corporate communications on the social web in 2008. In 2010, he advised Deutsche Bahn ("Facebook Ticket") and Nestlé ("Kitkat"), among others, on crisis communications, which were hit by the first "shitstorms" in Germany. As a result, Deutsche Bahn, for example, aligned its entire communication to the social web, a process that Lange accompanied. This project resulted in the communication management software Scompler. Scompler now has more than 300 customers, including 6 DAX companies.
