Bringing together what belongs together: corporate newsroom redefined

Scompler and Mediamoss launch SCOM|MOSS

FromMirko Lange

Two strong partners for corporate newsrooms and communications management are joining forces: Scompler and Mediamoss are launching SCOM|MOSS, a joint offering for integrated newsrooms. Together, the two companies have supported hundreds of companies, from NGOs to DAX-listed corporations, in putting communication and content strategies into practice on a day-to-day basis. Now they are doing it together.

Hardly any other development has shaped communication and content marketing in recent years as much as the corporate newsroom. Its developer, Prof. Dr. Christoph Moss, together with the International School of Management and his consulting firm Mediamoss has physically set up well over 100 corporate newsrooms. Christoph Moss and his team are supporting the entire change process from the old silos to topic-oriented content production.

The right digital tool for this has Scompler has developed the right digital tool. Companies use this software to organize the entire communications management process, from strategy and topic planning to content planning, production, distribution and analysis. "Content and newsroom, practice and science, topics and management, data and thinking: it brings together what belongs together," says Scompler founder Mirko Lange.

And this is how SCOM|MOSS. Scompler contributes the tool that is now a prerequisite for managing communication in an increasingly complex world. And Mediamoss complements methodology, training, consulting and coaching in day-to-day work. "Professor Moss is the best partner we could imagine for this," says Mirko Lange. For both of them, the corporate newsroom is above all a question of attitude: "The newsroom starts in the mind. "So if Mediamoss is primarily concerned with the mindset, at Scompler it's the toolset. And with the experience of our many joint projects, we can say: there is no better provider on the market for topic tools than Scompler," says Christoph Moss.

What benefits do companies derive from working with SCOM|MOSS?

"You get the all-round package of strategic advice and implementation of the best possible theme tool," says Mirko Lange. The advantage lies in the close cooperation. "We will save a lot of time in future because we can bring in the data professionals from Scompler from the outset. This will save us several months, because IT processes have taken a very long time in many companies up to now," says Christoph Moss.

So that what belongs together comes together.

Both partners have already worked closely together in recent years. "Whenever Scompler launches its theme tool, sooner or later the question of the right structures arises," says Mirko Lange. "We often find that companies want modern software but think in their old silos. That's when we need the help of Christoph Moss and his team. If our customers have already been advised by Mediamoss, we can introduce our SCOM process and Scompler much more easily. It simply fits."

"Based on the experience of our many joint projects, we can say that there is no better provider on the market for themed tools than Scompler."

International School of Management & Mediamoss

Christoph Moss developed the corporate newsroom model at the International School of Management. He provides scientific support for all newsroom projects as part of the university's applied empirical research and analyzes the data obtained on request. In this way, he and the Mediamoss team have already set up numerous corporate newsrooms, for example at Volkswagen, Migros and Swiss Life. SCOM|MOSS customers can rely on the expertise of the proven teams at Scompler and Mediamoss, whose structure remains unchanged. It will therefore also be possible to work exclusively with Scompler or Mediamoss in the future.

"Professor Moss is the best partner we could imagine."

Founder Scompler

Mirko Lange has been a communications consultant for 27 years and a lecturer at several universities since 2001. In 1999, he founded one of the first consulting firms for online PR in Germany and made a name for himself as the first specialist for corporate communications on the social web in 2008. In 2010, he advised Deutsche Bahn ("Facebook Ticket") and Nestlé ("Kitkat"), among others, on crisis communications, which were hit by the first "shitstorms" in Germany. As a result, Deutsche Bahn, for example, aligned its entire communication to the social web, a process that Lange accompanied. This project resulted in the communication management software Scompler. Scompler now has more than 300 customers, including 6 DAX companies.
