AI Competitors: Thematic Architecture

Scompler AI now helps shape your strategy directly—from topic architecture and personas to strategic parameters—and is available wherever you work in Scompler, with human approval built into every change.

Munich, July 14, 2026 – Communications teams have become adept at using AI to draft content more quickly. What most tools still can’t do is help determine what a strategy should cover in the first place—which topics to prioritize, where a stakeholder is underserved, and how a new goal should translate into structure. Today, Scompler is equipping its AI to operate at that level as well, platform-wide across Scompler and grounded in an organization’s specific goals and narratives rather than a blank prompt.

What is Scompler AI?

Scompler AI is the AI layer of Scompler, the operating system for strategic communication: a single system where communication and marketing teams manage goals, narratives, topics, campaigns, workflows, apps, channels, and content within a single shared strategic context, rather than scattering them across documents and disconnected tools. Scompler AI operates directly within that context—linked to an organization’s specific goals, narratives, and stakeholders—without the need for lengthy prompts or manual setup. More than 450 organizations and over 25,000 users worldwide rely on Scompler to keep their communication coordinated and strategically aligned.

From writing about strategy to helping build it

Since its launch in December 2025, Scompler AI has operated within an organization’s goals, narratives, and audiences at the level of individual stories and articles—a strength it continues to maintain. With this update, it also moves up to the level where structural decisions are made.

“This is the next milestone where ‘strategic partner’ stops meaning ‘writes about strategy’ and starts meaning ‘helps build the strategy,’” says Erik Pauli, Head of Product at Scompler Technologies GmbH.

This shift is driven by a new capability called Topic Architect, which derives topic categories and structure directly from an organization’s existing strategy. At the same level, the AI can analyze personas and create new ones based on a prompt—including a description, traits, and a short profile—and, for new strategic parameters such as a company goal, work with the team to determine where it best fits within the existing structure. It draws on web search and grounding.

“The key difference is that Scompler AI actually does the work within the system—with higher quality and less effort—rather than simply suggesting what you could do, the way generic tools do,” says Erik Pauli.

This is evident in day-to-day work as well: from the calendar page, the AI provides a prioritized weekly overview of deadlines and pending tasks. When asked to reschedule a story along with all its scheduled posts, it automatically checks to ensure that nothing falls on a weekend and suggests the next business day when necessary—with each change displayed for approval before it’s saved.

Scompler AI: Identify Gaps in Topics and topics New topics

How It Works in Practice

When asked to identify gaps in topic or persona coverage, the AI highlights specific findings—for example, that one persona is covered by far fewer topics than another—and outlines a plan before proposing any changes. Only after approval does it generate a proposal package—nothing changes in the live account until the user actively saves the changes.

Built-in human oversight

“The AI makes proposals, the team makes decisions, and nothing structural is created without a ‘yes,’” says Ilya Semianenka, Product Manager at Scompler Technologies GmbH. Grounding is what makes this traceable: every output shows what it’s based on—real project and company data as well as external sources, with traceable references—and makes it clear when a statement is instead based on the model’s general knowledge.

Available to every Pro customer at no extra cost

Starting July 14, 2026, Scompler AI’s expanded capabilities will be included in the Scompler Pro plan: each organization will receive 100 credits per month, existing subscriptions will be automatically topped up, and the credit allowance can be extended at any time with additional paid credits.

“Communication teams shouldn’t have to hold back on strategic AI because of cost,” says Björn Bröhl, CEO of Scompler Technologies GmbH. “AI fluency is no longer a nice-to-have; it’s a basic requirement for strategic communication.”
