Reimann Investors as new lead investor

Content platform Scompler closes financing round worth EUR 7 million

Munich, May 5, 2022 – Munich-based B2B SaaS company Scompler has secured an investment of seven million euros in a second round of financing. The new lead investor is Reimann Investors, while existing investors neosfer (Commerzbank's early-stage investor) and Bayern Kapital (Bavaria's venture capital and growth investor for innovative technologies) are investing again.

Scompler's Content Command Center is one of the most powerful platforms for strategic brand and corporate communication on the market. It serves to professionalize all communication processes and strengthen cross-team collaboration. With Scompler, companies can strategically plan, produce, publish, and evaluate all communication content for the corporate newsroom as well as for social media, content marketing, storytelling, corporate communication, and internal communication in one central location, organized by topic and collaboratively.

Since its founding in May 2018, Scompler has been a real success story: more than 250 customers with 5 to 500 users, a total of around 25,000 registered users from more than 20 countries, and customers ranging from NGOs to global corporations, including six DAX companies. Among the best-known names are Deutsche Post DHL, ADAC, Commerzbank, and AOK, as well as Fridays for Future, UNICEF, and Johanniter. The company completed its first round of financing in April 2020, raising €1.5 million. The team led by Mirko Lange (CEO) and Björn Bröhl (COO) has since grown to 55 people, who have doubled recurring annual license revenue every year since then and increased the value of the company fivefold.

Scomplers mission: Creating better content together more easily

The aim of using the Content Command Center is to break down communication silos, create company-wide transparency in communication, and significantly strengthen both the efficiency and effectiveness of communication and marketing. Scompler solves a problem that has arisen as a result of digitalization, the so-called content shock, and consumer advertising fatigue: There is so much information available that companies can only reach their target groups with their communications in the long term if they publish relevant content in a well-coordinated manner across multiple channels or even omni-channels. However, the resulting increase in complexity cannot be managed with the general tools used to date, such as Excel or Trello, nor with specialized channel tools, such as social media management suites.

"Digitalization is also bringing content and communication management closer together," says Mirko Lange. "It is no longer enough to simply fill individual channels with more and more content. Companies need to create better content. It is important to convey real content and narratives in a coordinated manner." Scompler's greatest strength, he says, is its ability to strategically align the actions of all stakeholders and ensure that the strategy is implemented in day-to-day business. The collaboration platform has become particularly important during the pandemic because it greatly simplifies collaboration between distributed teams, including those working from home.

Scomplers' mission: To work with Reimann Investors to create strategically better content.

Reimann Investors leads Scompler financing round

"Scompler has developed excellently since our seed financing round in April 2020," says Monika Steger, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital. "The innovative technology has long proven itself in practice, and thanks to its scalability, we continue to see great growth potential. We are delighted to give new impetus to our joint success story with funds from the Bayern Kapital Innovation Fund EFRE."

Reimann Investors is leading the financing round with its fund. "Scompler is the ideal tool for strategic brand and corporate communications. We are convinced that the company will continue to win such renowned customers in this rapidly growing market and maintain its outstanding growth. We therefore look forward to working together with the exceptionally competent and experienced team to further develop the company," comments Hans-Christian Perle, Managing Director of Reimann Investors.

Reimann Investors is the family office of members of the Reimann family of entrepreneurs, who sold their stake in the former family business at the end of the 1990s. The fund's investment focus is on young, innovative and fast-growing companies. The fund's management acts as a strategically active shareholder, supporting and promoting the development of companies in close cooperation with the management.
