How Communication Teams Regain Control of Their Tool Stack with Scompler Marketplace

Interview with Developer Darya Yurevich

What exactly is the Marketplace, and why are we launching it right now?

Darya Yurevich: The Marketplace is the new hub within Scompler. Here, customers can discover, connect, and manage all their integrations in one place. You can think of it as an app store for the entire communications stack. Instead of different setup processes and hidden connections, there is now a centralized view: Which integrations are already active? Which social media connections or analytics apps am I currently missing? And how do I get started with just a few clicks?

The Marketplace is the foundation for Scompler’s evolution into a Strategic Communication OS—that is, the operating system for strategic communication. We don’t want to be just another tool in the stack; rather, we aim to be the layer that connects and orchestrates the entire corporate communications ecosystem. The Marketplace brings this vision to life for our customers.

Why is the Marketplace essential for this?

Darya: Communications teams don’t need “raw data”—they need ready-to-use solutions. Whereas we used to configure many integrations individually, the Marketplace now provides clear governance for everything: whether it’s social media platforms or partner tools like Presspage and Staffbase. We’ve reduced complexity behind the scenes to ensure maximum visibility and speed up front. It’s about giving our customers full control over their tech stack—in a straightforward, self-service way.

Scompler Marketplace Tool Stack

How will the Marketplace change the daily workflow and tool stack for Scompler users?

01

Discovery

Customers can finally see at a glance what they can connect to Scompler—clearly organized by category.

02

Management

Admins get a centralized view of all active integrations—instead of wondering what’s connected.

03

Governance

Users can request new integrations directly in the Marketplace. The admin approves or rejects them—a streamlined, integrated workflow.

04

Self-service trials

If you want to test a new add-on, you no longer have to wait for an appointment with Customer Success. Just one click is all it takes to start the app trial right away.

“It all depends on your perspective: For communicators, the Marketplace creates new visibility and allows them to manage the entire workflow directly within Scompler. For admins, it provides control and governance through structured approval processes while reducing the workload. And for partners, it offers structure and reach—a clear technical foundation for integrating their solutions directly into the Scompler ecosystem.”

You mentioned that Scompler Marketplace is more than just adding integrations. What’s the bigger idea behind it?

Darya: Our focus is on standardization and control. Every integration follows the same model, the same installation flow, and the same governance rules. This reduces effort and builds trust. Strategically speaking, we’re redefining Scompler: An operating system isn’t defined by the longest list of features, but by how well it connects everything else. The Marketplace transforms Scompler from a standalone tool into the platform that holds everything together.

Was there a moment during the development of the Marketplace when you realized, "This is even better than we initially thought"?

Darya: Yes, when we started treating our own native modules—like Community Management and Reports—as Marketplace apps. At first, we were only thinking about external partners and apps. But when we applied the model to our own features, we realized: We’re not just building a hub for integrations; we’re fundamentally rethinking how features are discovered and managed within Scompler. This has implications for the entire architecture of our platform and the holistic user experience.

If the Marketplace is as successful as you hope it will be, what changes can we expect to see at Scompler in the coming months and years?

Darya: Customers will no longer view Scompler simply as a planning platform or an integrated social media tool. They will see it as the place where everything comes together. When they open Scompler, they’ll already be connected to their CMS, media database, analytics suite, and employee app. Partners will develop integrations that meet customer needs we could never have addressed on our own.

That’s exactly what the Strategic Communications OS is: not just a long list of features, but a smarter, connected platform that helps communications teams work more strategically. The Marketplace is the first real step toward that future.
